BoomTag turns one year old! And there are a lot of new ways to experience the game: from new Functionalities to the brand-new PowerUPs. Learn more in this update post!

🎩New Cosmetics🎩

Celebrate in style with new Cosmetics! More than 60 Pieces, both Party and Halloween themed, which you can mix with old Costumes. Some of them are suggestions from the community, such as the Slime Scientist! Jump In and discover more.
Like the last update, some are Variants or Recolors that you can buy in the Cosmetics Shop with the Explodium you obtain from matches. 

🌄New Maps🌄

Escape from other Players across the New Maps! The Anniversary Cake is a colorful map where it's always a party, climb to the top of the cake via the trampolines or by climbing the stuff around. The Muddy Swamp is a really dangerous place where the mud will slow your steps.

🔔Game Notifications🔔

Be always updated on your phone with the new notifications!
Know exactly when the Cosmetics Shop is refreshed and when a new Game Lobby is shared! You can always disable notifications from the app settings. Keep in mind:

1. The Shop Notification is available only on the mobile version.
2. The Lobby Message is sent via the BoomTag's Discord Server (see Lobby Sharing for more).

🌐Lobby Sharing with Discord🌐

You want to play? Now is even easier thanks to Lobby Sharing!
Share your Lobby on the BoomTag's Italian Discord Server directly from the game thanks the new Share in Discord button in the Match Settings. Shared Lobbies will not contain personal data, but only game-related information, such as the Lobby Join Code, Number of Players in the Lobby,  and the Match Status.

Share your thoughts in the Lobby via the new Lobby Suggestions!
Propose the Map and the Game Mode you want to play and the Lobby Host will be able to choose your suggestion.

❓Power UPs❓

PowerUPs arrive on BoomTag! Get them by walking over the Item Boxes you'll find in the maps and use them to unleash your full potential!
This first wave is made up of 8 unique Items that will make matches fun like never before! 

• Run at high speeds after taking a sip of good old Speed Juice, Jump for the moon with the Spring Shoes and Perform Double or Air Jumps thanks the Portable Trampoline.
• Confuse other Players with a foam zone by opening a Fire Extinguisher or prevent them from interacting thanks the Hand Lock. 
• Become invulnerable with the Bomb Shield, Knock back enemies by hitting them with the Rubber Mace or Spray them with Pepper Spray to spice up theirvision (be careful not to use it on yourself!).

Item Boxes can be enabled from the Match Settings.

🧁Anniversary Celebration🧁

There are several things to celebrate one year since the release of BoomTag!
First of all the whole update is Party themed and a new themed map has been added too. Then, in the Cosmetics Shop there are the Anniversary Costume and Anniversary Accessories FREE bundles. They are special cosmetics for celebrating one year of the game, so will be available until November 20th 2024. As a last thing the Anniversary Celebration Event will be active from 16:00 UTC on November 6th and will last a week. During this time the Explodium multiplier will be x3!

🎃SpookyTag Event🎃

The Anniversary Celebration Event was postponed due to the SpookyTag Event, that will be active from 16:00 UTC on October 23th 2024 until the start of the celebration event. This event is really different from the others in fact this is a Dynamic Event! The goal is to play 30 matches, and if the objective is met the Plague Doctor Costume Bundle will be available for FREE in the Cosmetics Shop for ONE WEEK. This bundle will return in the future but with its Rxplodium price.

Remember: The Match is counted is the one from the Lobby Host! So make sure Analytics are enabled in your settings if you want your matches to count.

✨Incoming Features✨

There are some features that I will try to implement in the next updates, such as:

• "Support me" advertisement, which will allow you to see an advertisement up to 3 times a day which will be rewarded with 10 Explodiums. The game will never be filled with advertising. It will be possible to see them only at the player's request in a specific screen.
• Lobby Label System: which will allow you to know the type of Lobby before entering.
• Cross-Progression: to allow account linking between Phones and PCs
• Offline games with Bots: Although I should delve deeper into the topic.

The game has evolved a lot and I hope it can continue to do so in the future. As always I am open to advice and suggestions and will also try to make updates more frequent.
